Eassy 4-Rough Draft

                                                         My body, My freedom
Debt is mostly every American problem now a days and it was a problem in the story “All I’m asking for is my Body” by Milton Murayama. In this story there is a Japanese family that is so much in debt that they just work to pay it off and they are very poor. This family is known as the Oyama family, they have to main children that contribute to help with the debt and they are Toshio and Kiyoshi. They were very young and already had so much debt that wasn’t even theirs. No child should be responsible for their parent’s debt and they shouldn’t be made to pay it off or even help at all.
The parents have work so hard to put food on the table but they have put them selves in so much debt. The mother of the family has worked so hard as a sewer, she makes kimonos and sells them as for the father he is fisherman. The mother is very superstitions and she believes that all the family debts should be paid of by the end or the year. So for this to happen they both work very hard everyday and not by any new clothes or anything they will not need, they don’t even go to the dentist. To me this is very bad because even though you might be in so much debt you should take care of yourself and especially your children. Health is the number one thing anyone should be watching out for because if you don’t then how you are going to pay your debt back.
This family helps each other in a way that I have never seen any family help each other. The father of the family used to work for his grandfather and gave him all his money to help him pay of his debt and know the Oyama want their old children which are Toshio and Kiyoshi to work and give all their money to them to help pay off their debt’s. I believe this is very wrong, it seems like they are using their children as slaves and they shouldn’t be doing that at all. It’s weird how some families can be very naive and not no any better for their children, just because they did that, work for their parents don’t mean they need to continue the legacy.
Kiyoshi meet this one teacher that was trying to change how parents in that era would use their children as slaves. He tried to tell the children and educate them on how there are better opportunities out there in the world for them. Most of the parents didn’t like him because of what he was teaching their children, but he didn’t give up he knew he would be able to get to at least one child. Kiyoshi did take that advice and all he wants was to be the owner of his own body and not work so hard to pay his parents debt. He wanted freedom from his parents and he didn’t want to pay a debt that didn’t belong to him.
No child should be responsible to pay a debt that their parents have earned. A child should be able to be free and make their own debts and not worry about anyone else.  I believe if you have a child you shouldn’t be using their child as a slave you should treat them with care and give them all you can and try your best to keep them healthy as possible. The economic stage of America has gotten worst and even back then everyone suffer from poverty. And it is very sad to say that now it is happening again.

All I Asking For Is My Body, Part III, Dialogue

What is the meaning of the title?
The meaning of the Title was that everyone is entitle to their own bodies and the reason why that is because in the book Kiyoshi and Toshio parents owe a lot of debit to numerous people. However, they are so poor that all they do is work to repay that debit and the parents make the children work and all the money they earn has to go to the parents to help pay the debit. It seems like they just have children so thy can work for the parents and give them all the money, the parents treat the children like slaves. In the last chapter of the book which was really good chapter Kiyoshi have a teacher that would teach all his children that they have a opportunity to change their lives. And that they shouldn't work for their parents to help them repay their debits. He wanted to express to the children that they didn't have to follow in their parents foot steps, they actually have a choice and they have to break that tradition.
Kiyoshi mother has always expressed that they have to follow in their father's foot steps. Their father worked for his father for 12 years so they expect the same form their children. I believe all of this is wrong, we as parents should want the best for our children and not turn them into our own slaves. I know that there are still some countries that they still have their children married at a certain age to a total stranger, which is so wrong to do.  This is what the title meat to me is that everyone has freedom and they should be responsible for their own bodies and destiny.

All I Asking For Is My Body, Part II, Dialogue

Why does Kiyoshi believe Obaban is a substitute for his mom?

Kiyoshi believed that Obaban was a substitute for his mother because he started to believe in his mothers superstitions. He was being told by his mother that she was going to die because someone in her family has done something wrong and that she was being punished by it. When he went to go get Obaban so she can go see Kiyoshi mother, they were both talking about that sometimes a substitute for someones life can happen and if it does happen that person that is sick can be freed.
Also, Kiyoshi heard a lot of praying coming from the room when his mother and Obaban were in there together, maybe that might have seem like she was offering her life for his mother's. When Obaban died he felt a since of relief because he thought and believe that she was the substituted for his mother even though he was sad for her death but happy for his mother.

Writing topic summary for the chapter 52!

In this chapter it talks about how to form a thesis and use supportive evidence to form a well organized essay. It starts by how to form a tentative thesis. You must have about on to two sentence to form a thesis which your thesis will answer your central question you have for your essay. Your thesis will appear on the end of the introductory paragraph. Then when you have done this you start to from your evidence which is mostly the body of your paragraph. You want to start by making an outline of your evidence then later on you will put it into you essay.  Another thing that would be helpful for your readers is to explain a unfamiliar word or idea in your essay and make sure you  to back up your assertions with facts or examples for the essay. Finally, you can use experts opinions but don't rely on their arguments, you will want to use your on words.

After reading this chapter it was very helpful to understand the whole concept behind and essay. I'm going to take into consideration about the outline regarding the body of the essay because i know that is one thing I fail to do. I sometimes just start writing instead of writing out my thoughts on paper. Also use your own words and trying to rephrase experts insights is very hard to do. This chapter was very helpful to me.

All I Asking For Is My Body, Part I, Dialogue

Who is Makot?  Do you feel sorry for him?  What are your thoughts about him and the way he copes with his parents?

Makot is a Japanese boy that has trouble making friends with boys his age, so he makes friends with younger boys then himself. His parents have a lot of money and it seems that his parents give him money whenever he wants it. Makot he tends to buy his friends by offering them food or buying them things and even taking them to the movies. Makot hangs out with three younger boys Kiyoshi, Mitsunobu, and Nobuyuki which he buys there friendship, well that's what it seems like. He seems very controlling because when he can't get his way he will pout till he gets his way.In a way I do feel sorry for him because he is always by himself at home or he is out and about on the streets. His parents don't seem like they are around very often and the only way he knows how to get attention is to bribe the younger kids since kids his age don't like him.
Makot copes with his parents by not being around and not taking his friends around is parents. He always has his friends over when the parents aren't around, I believe he is embarrassed by them since other people know whats going on with them, which seems like it could be a bad thing the parents are involved in. I believe that Makot is coping with his parents the best way that he can. I can't wait to continue the reading and find out more about him and his parents.

Extra Credit-Writing About Film!

The section Writing about film talked about how to actually look at a movie and pay close attention on how the film is made. For example, you must look at the composition of the film instead of retelling the film. There are different sorts of film papers you are able to write about, which are, formal analysis which is you must take the film and break it down into components parts and how it contribute to the whole film. Also, there are film history, ideological papers, cultural studies papers, discussion of the auteur. When writing a paper about a film the  first thing you must do is course view the film and also pay close attention to the film, this is consider a prewriting strategy.  Another thing that you must be ready to do is be very selective of what you want to write about because there is so much that goes into a film, being selective will help to write a good essay. Some writing tips that can help are that you need to focus on your topic, have a good thesis sentence, have a good structure, write clear paragraphs, and tend to the matter of style and grammar.

This information was really help to read about, but I mostly talked about how to write an essay about a film by looking deep into the film. I'm not to sure how helpful it would be for our essay on Smoke Signals, however I will take some of it into consideration when writing my essay. We are not going to need to break down the film into certain composition, but we do need to look at the importance of the film and the story behind it.

Eassy 3 Workshop!-What's the importance of forgiveness in "Smoke Signals"? How does Victor learn to forgive his father?

In the movie Smoke Signals the two main actors Victor and Thomas are on there way to Arizona to pick up Victors, father’s ashes and some of his belongings.  During this time Victor is faced with the most challenging thing a person could be faced with which is to forgive a parent. Forgiveness is when you must put a side all those emotions and anger that you might towards a parent and try to give them a second chance. You must forgive them for their mistakes that they have done, especially were they have hurt you so much because at the end they are you parents, they are he ones that have put you in this world.
Victor was abandon by his father as a child and all he remembers about his father was the abuse he used to give to Victor and his mother. Victor’s father was an alcoholic, which in the movie that was on reason he left was because the mother didn’t what alcoholism in the family or around Victor. When I was a young girl my father was also an alcoholic, he used to come home and be drunk most of the time. My fathers always seem very violent and loud towards my mother. My siblings and I used to be scared of my father and we would hide in the room or pertain that we were sleeping once he got home. I believe he used to hit my mother when we were young but most of it I tend to leave it a blur.
Victor had to grow up with out a father and always wondering why his father left him and his mother. Victor grew up to be a very anger person towards other individuals, the only thing he loved doing was playing basketball, which I believe it kept him in the spirit of his father. We all have one thing that keeps us in touch with our parents, for example my mother  loves to cook and I love to learn her recipes so I try my best so one day I can share them with my family and that would be my way to remember my mother.  Victor’s way of remembering his father even though he hated him at first was all the good things he did for him, like play basketball but also all the bad things, too.
In the movie Smoke Signals forgiveness is a very important part for Victor because that is the only way he can continue to live his live and also realize that his father wasn’t a bad guy, he just made a mistake that he regretted. Victor and Thomas went to Arizona to get the ashes and as soon as they got there they came across the father’s neighbor. She had a lot of stories to tell about Victor’ father to Victor and Thomas.  After hearing all the stories she had Victor started to realize that his father didn’t mean to leave his family and that everyday that went by his father regretted leaving him and his mother. Victor never thought that he would ended up forgiving his father but when he did he had a new sense of life it seemed and it also seem that he was relived.
Another thing that really helped Victor was having Thomas with him, even though Thomas got on Victors nerves he was glad to have him there during a hard time for Victor. With out forgiveness the story in the movie would have been very different I believe and Victor forgiving his father was a good thing for him to do in the story. After they got the ashes they headed home and Victor ended up throwing his fathers ashes into the river that was near his home. While he was releasing his father into the river Victor started to scream and cry and at this point he started to grief over his father even though he wasn’t around he was sad that his father had died.
Forgiveness is a very important part of life I believe, we all get mad at someone close to our hearts, but we all have to find it in our hearts to put aside those emotions and forgive that person. We can’t life a healthy life with so much anger in our hearts toward another person; it’s not good for you. So the sooner you get the courage to forgive that person even though they might not be in your life, you will have a sense of relieve and you will be able to continue to live your life.

“This is What it Means to Say Phoenix, Arizona” Dialogue

Are you more impressed with the film or the story?  Why?

I'm more impressed with the movie instead of the story it just gave the movie more of a realistic view then the story. I really didn't like how in the story Thomas and Victor weren't friends or even talked to each other they were just strangers. They made Thomas seem really old and sounded like he didn't take care of his appearance very well. In the story he was missing is teeth and in the movie he wasn't he was a young student just a little different then others but there is nothing wrong with being different.

The movie was great but if maybe if I would have read the story first it would have been better then the movie. I know that there are a lot of very good books out there and then they make a movie from it and the book will always bee better then the movie. Also, in the story Victor and Thomas weren't very close they did grow up as children but everyone one thought Thomas was weird and no one would hang out with him not even Victor, I didn't like that at all. The movie was very enjoyable and great.

Chapter 48 Summary!

This chapter talked about evaluating arguments and some writing can be dishonest or misguided which are known as logical fallacies. Some writers generalize and stereotype which sometimes this are misleading to the argument. Make sure that that the writer is telling the true about the argument. Also witters draw up analogies which are good for the writing because this points out the similarity between two things which are other wise different. Making assumptions is a claim that is taken to be true which doesn't need proof which some writers do since they rarely have time to prove all the facts. AT the end of an argument we need to draw the conclusion which is putting things together, this means establishing that a general principle is true.

All of this information I learn from this chapter I will take into consideration because it is very helpful to have and to known when writing a argument. I believe that we must have all the facts before we start making false assumptions about any thing or any one. We must always have a conclusion at the end stating what was the result of your argument. This was a very helpful chapter to read.

“Happy Endings,” “Obituary,” and “Oompah Loompah” Dialogue

What’s your response to Mr. Harvey?

My response to Mr. Harvey is that he sounds like he is a good teacher wanting to have his children learn proper English. He seems like he wants to help them and get the children prepare for the future and also for the children to have class. He wants them to learn and succeed in life since the parents weren't able to and he wants them to know that there is more out there better for them not just a bad life. He seems like he cares about them even though he stated in the store he doesn't, i agree with what Lovey said that Mr. Harvey wants them to be Americans.
I don't believe Mr. Harvey has the right to yell at the students since they are only students, yes i know we all get frustrated once in awhile but to yell at them is on call for. He is doing his job as a teacher and even thought the children might hate him they are going to benefit it all at the end and the children learn.

Extra Credit-Writing About Fiction

The online reading from the writing lab talked about how to write an essay on a fiction story. It first starts with how to closely read a text. You have to read very carefully the text that you are reading make sure you pay close attention. After you have read the reading closely you can start making your notes which are very important to do. You need to either highlight whats important or make notes in the margins or even do both, but do not let the highlighter take over you and highlight the whole reading. There are somethings that you must avoid doing and they are don't recall what happens in detail it's not the intended goal, an also the paper shouldn't state the answer but it should explore an idea or explain your own ideas. After you have read the story you must look over your notes so you can come up with some questions and answer them. To write your thesis all you have to do is put the answer from the question in to a sentence. When you have done this you are ready to put your evidence together. Once you have all the information it's time to draft your essay and you should use this steps: free write take like 5 to 10 minutes and just write about the story with out looking at the story. Then review and if necessary do some researcher then evaluate the information you have written down. Other things are to include quotes or paraphrasing from the book. Also you need to summarize which is taking a large portion of your work and shorten it in a few sentences.

After reading this techniques I will be using them in the future in my own personal work. I need to gather all my information before I actually start writing my essay. It is very helpful to read all the information from this online lab and now I can go back and look at it if I need help. I really enjoy learning new things and learning about how to get information about a fiction reading.

Chapter 47 Summary!

This chapter talks about how to put together an essay that has to do with debatable issues and how to construct reasonable arguments. When your constructing an argument your goal is to not to have the last word or win but to explain your understanding of the truth of a subject or propose the without being combative. What you want is for readers to reconsider their opinions by offering new reasons and evidence to question their old viewpoints. One important thing you must remember is to be very informed of the issue you are trying to propose. This will be a great disadvantage if you are not, so you must do some research regarding your argument. One thing that you should do is to view your audience as jurors because you can't assume that your readers agree with you it's up to the reader to make up their own minds after listening to all sides of the argument.
After you have understand and have all the supportive information regarding your argument it's time to do your introduction and establish credibility. When constructing an argument make sure your introduction contains a thesis that states where you stand on the issue. To establish credibility you must you must show you are knowledgeable and fair minded. A tip that you should remember is that after reading your thesis and if you can't think of an opposing argument then rewrite your thesis. After, you have writing your thesis you should have lines of arguments which you can create an outline which it should consist of. You must have supportive information in your essay which consist of facts, statistics, examples, illustrations, and citing expert opinion. Also, don't  forget to at least have one paragraph that contradicts your argument but have it will inform and it will show that you are fair to your readers.
After reading this chapter it help me understand how to put together an argument essay and how to do a rough draft outline and what it should consist of. I'm going to use this information in my life and my classes because it was really helpful and if I have to write an argument I must be very careful and make sure I have the right information and the resources. This was a good chapter and very informative and going to keep it make for future reference.

Extra Credit-Purdue's Online Writing Lab-Writing about Literature!

In the Purdue's Online Writing Lab in the section about Writing about Literature it talks about how to make a thesis especially if you are writing an argument paper and also how to setup an essay. You must have evidence for your thesis if not go searching for it to have a good argument. It also talks about what topics are good ones to pick from. For example, a discussion of a workers character, a reading of an outside philosophical perspective, but the best topics are the ones that come from your own readings of literature. If you need help the best things is to start some research and you can start by going to the library or go on the Internet. For this kind of essay your thoughts should make up your most of your essay this is by what you found from the information you looked for. Formatting the essay is a very important step to do and most papers should use the MLA format an the Cited list should be the last page of your essay. Things that you should remember don't leave quotes or paraphrases by them self you must introduce it, explain it and show how it relates to your thesis. However, for more help you can go online or research at the library about the MLA format.

I plan to use the information that I just learned by trying to use it on my on essays and try to find more information if I need to. I always have a hard time starting a thesis and maybe I should start my paragraphs first then go back to the thesis last and get it from the body of the essay. I do know that formatting is very important for the essay and i need to start using the MLA format unless I've been told different from the instructor. I also need to put more supportive information in to my essays to support my thesis if I write the thesis first. I did learn a lot from this information from the Purdue's Online Writing Lab.

Essay 2-Rough Draft

Family is very important in ones life and it can also tell a lot about a person’s identity. In some stories that I have read like “Coming Home Again” it showed a lot about family and how each family member was in the family. Also this story talks about a family that was going to a hard time and even though we all go through hard times it will just make us stronger. Ones family is who we are and it tells you a lot about ones character.
In this story the young boy Chang-rae had to come back from boarding school to help out his family during a hard time. His mother was dying and everyone helped around the home the father, sister and him. From this story I learned a lot about this particular character just by the relationship him and his mother had. He and his mother shared one important thing which was cooking. We all have something that we share with a family member and we will always remember it. His mother thought him all about cooking even though she didn’t want him in the kitchen because it wasn’t a man’s job. He was very intrigued in cooking and he wanted to learn and he did. This teaches me that never give up on your dreams even though your family doesn’t agree. I have learned that family will always be on your side even though they don’t agree, but as long as your happy and they see that in you.
His mother was very sick and the father and sister worked and he was responsible to stay home and help his mother when needed and make food for them. He learned to cook and make all the foods that his mother used to make for them that is very special and it would make his mother very happy. We all want to make our parents very happy in one way or another and a lot of us try our best so they can be proud of us. I know I have tried to make my parents proud of me and spend as much time with them as I can. I believe that family is what teaches you how to be strong and teaches you how to be. For example, there are families that can teach you to be rude to people and not care about being clean and be abusive or use drugs. You might see that in your parents and that is what makes you and follow in there foot steps, but on the other hand sometimes it can make you stronger and not want to be like them.
I have never experience anyone dying close to me like Chang-rae did in the story losing his mother is very sad. He will always have his mother’s good heart and all his memories and he will always have a little something from her.  We all have a good thing that we have been giving by our families and we should cherish it and never let go of it.
Families are who we are like it or not they are our identity and they are which give us our character. We will have some sort of characteristic that we get from our parents and our children will get it from us also. We are who we are because of our families and they give us strength and they also give us our weakness.

Summary for Chapter 3

This chapter talked about how to make your rough draft readable for the audience. There are a few things you have to do to make sure that your rough draft is accomplishes its purpose. First make sure is the draft appropriate for the audience? Then is the thesis clear? Are there ideas off the point of the rough draft? Are the ideas in a logical order? Is the evidence relevant and persuasive? What other material should be deleted? This are the main points that you should be looking for in your rough draft. The checklist have 5 main points which are Purpose and audience, focus, organization and paragraphing, content, and point of view.

This chapter had a lot of great information and this is something that i really never thought of doing in my essays that i have written.I usually just try my best to proof read it and make sure evidence is there but really never thought of the audience. Now for sure I'm going to start doing this or have someone else read it for me and get there opinion. This is a really good technique to be using in and written work that we have to do.

“Coming Home Again” Dialogue

What’s the importance of food in this essay?

I believe that the importance of the food was to connect the whole family together and to make the readers know that every family even though they might be separated they will have something that would bring them together. Even though the boy was gone off to boarding school he remembers his mom in the kitchen all the time and all the delicious foods that she created. The food was very important also because that's the way her and her son have a connection, even though they went through there troubles and didn't see each other for a long time the food their connection with the food.  The food was a symbol of love and being together as a family and the connection between them all.

This was a really good reading and it had a lot of emotion in it, it also remind me of my family in some sort because my mom has spent most of her life in the kitchen. She has been sick a few times but not to serious, however I or my sister would help cook dinner when she wasn't feeling good. The ending of the reading had a good symbol because the mom and son talked about their bad times and forgave each other and they new they loved each other no matter what has happen between them.

Chapter Two Summary!

In chapter two it talks about how to form your rough draft and how to gather all the information need in different ways. It started by talking about how to draft an introduction that would include a thesis which announces the main point of an essay. It talks about how to make sure you have enough evidence to support your thesis and make sure how you write the thesis to give some information but not to much so the read will get interested and continue to read your writing. Also, it talked about the how to draft the body of an essay which this part develops support for the thesis. And also how to put a conclusion to the essay and make revisions to the essay.

I did learn a lot about this chapter and how to put an essay together and how to create a thesis and evidence. The way I'm going to use this is that I'm going to try my best to make the opening thesis as well as I can, that's were I have the most trouble. Building the evidence is that that hard and very much more simple then the thesis. One thing I been told to do be different teachers are to write out the body of the essay and then later go back and figure out the thesis which is very helpful.

Essay 1: Rough Draft

The best New Year’s Eve I ever had was when I went to Disneyland and thats why i chosed this image. I always wanted to go to Disneyland since I was a little girl, but my parents couldn’t afford to take me, my brother’s and my sister. My experience at Disneyland was truly magical especially due to the fact that I was with my love ones. It all started when my boyfriend, Salvador asked me to go. I was very happy and excited and even more joyful because my six year old son and my younger sister were also coming with us.

We had plan this vacation a few weeks ahead and when the day finally come we were packed and ready to roll. We left early morning, so we wouldn’t encounter much traffic. It was very nice to see the scenery, I always wanted to travel and explore new places. Finally, after several hours on the road we arrived at our destination and it was a beautiful day . Shortly after, we found our hotel and relaxed in our rooms for the first day.

The next day we got up bright and early and headed off to Disneyland around 7:30am. We were told to be there as early as possible since it was New Year’s Eve and it would get very crowded. We wanted to be on the safe side incase the park reached its capacity limit. Our hotel was about a block away from Disneyland and the whole walk there we were so excited and couldn’t stop talking about it.

Once we got into the park it was so exciting and I was overwhelmed with joy. The first thing I saw and will always remember was an enormous Christmas tree and beside it was Mickey Mouse cheerfully greeting people. Immediately we began to see many of the attractions and getting on as many rides as we could. One ride that I specifically enjoyed and remember was a pirate ship that took us around a lake. My son was extremely excited to get on the ship and loved all the special affects. To see my son’s face filled with so much delight, is a precious moment that I will always hold in my heart.

Midnight was fast approaching and we were all very exhausted. The plan was to stay until twelve o’clock to see the fireworks. We found a nice little spot to sit on the lawn where we would be able to enjoy the show. The fireworks of course were very amazing and to be able to share that moment with the people I love was even more incredible. The display of fireworks was very bright and colorful and to see them illuminate the famous Disneyland castle blew my mind away.

It was a very exhausting trip, but a once in a life time experience which made everything worth it. This is why I think this image of Disneyland is very special to me and very magical. I always remember Disneyland and truly hope to visit it once again.

So We Know It’s A Writing Topic Summary For Chapter 46.

Chapter 46 from Rules for Writers by Diana Hacker, which was about "Writing about Texts" talked about different ways on how to analyze a text. Annotate is one helpful way to take notes for the text that you are reading. It also states that underlining, marking points, or circling elements can be very helpful. It also gave you examples on how to analyze text for written and visual texts. It also talked about active reading and it guidelines on how to do it better. One important thing it talked about summaries and how to write them. It stated to mention the tittle of the text, the name of the author and the authors visual central point. Also maintain a neutral tone, use the third person view, keep focus on the text, keep summary in your own words, and use quotations if necessary. She also states that we should understand the different types of texts that are giving to us.

I plan to use this information very well because it is very helpful to make notes or highlight when an assignment is given to you. Also I think it is a great idea to write down what we think while we read a text. Also the information that was giving regarding on how to create a summary was very helpful and I mark down this page so when I have to do an assignment I will have it for a reference. I will have to do a lot of reading in my biology 10 class and I will sure use what I'm learning in English class.

"Freewriting Exercise Assignment"

What is a freewriting? It's when you write about anything you want or a subject, however you write none stop for about 10 minutes or even more. You continue to write even if you have nothing to say you such write down words, there is no rules and just say what's on your mind. I believe this is a great exercise for writing even though a lot of people it's not and that it's garbage. How freewriting facilitates stronger writing is by helping the mind get more free and also it can give you ideas for your assignment. It can help you get a structure going for the assignment that you are giving.
I found this reading very helpful because i know that in English there are a lot of rules and if sometimes I just free my mind then it would help me out like doing freewriting for the assignment. I am very terrible at English and hopefully doing freewriting will help me out a bit. I found it astonishing that a lot of people believe that freewriting is garbage and a waste of time. I hope that I learn a lot from this class and doing the freewriting, I think this is a great assignment.

Introduction!

Hello Everyone,

I have lived in Santa Rosa all my life, I am 24years old, but hope to travel a lot hopefully in a few years.I am attending this class because I need it to get into English 1A. I am attending the SRJC because I want to become a Nurse(RN). I have been attending the SRJC for a few semesters all ready, which is very hard because I have a full time job as an Medical Assistant and also have a 7 year old boy at home. I hope to learn a lot from this class so it can better my English skills. I also hope one day to own my own restaurant so I will be starting to take some business classes next semester. I am a fast learner and more of a hands on learner.  Most of the time I like to do my work ahead of time, but sometimes it is impossible to do, but I manage the situation.
I hope we all do great in this class, I have been taking a lot of online classes and they are the best with out them it would be so much harder for me to attend college. I hope we all have a great fall and everyone enjoy the class. I am very excited to read the book that we have for the class.
Thank You,
Maura
